Staff and participants at the Senior Center received valuable first-aid training last week.
Charlie and Heidi from the Fire Department conducted the hands-on CPR and AED training and provided practical information regarding trips, falls, burns, and other hazards that could be encountered at the Center. The question and answer period was most helpful as there were quite a few scenarios that everyone was able to learn from.
This training is the first in a series of scheduled events designed to increase the Center’s health and safety awareness. “Many thanks to the fire department,” stated Kathy Trujillo, Director, adding, “They are valuable partners with our senior population.”
