This year’s Annual Fall Festival is getting a major upgrade.

University of Nevada Cooperative Extension has teamed up with the Mineral County Park and Recreation and many other community members to make Fall Festival 2018 the best one yet!.

Please stay tuned for a full schedule of events.

New to the Fall Festivities will be a Trunk or Treat traveling from the Old Jr. High building where the Fall Festival is held and ending at the YCAC on 6th and C Streets.

What is Trunk or Treat? A Trunk or Treat is a safe venue for the town’s youth to trick-or-treat (along A Street, turning down 6th Street), traveling from decorated car to car. Line your trunk or tailgate along the path to hand out treats. Decorate your vehicle to enter the decoration contest too! Non-food items are encouraged as handouts so all can participate (Teal Pumpkin Project).

How to participate

• RSVP with Amber Coen at or 775-945-3444 Ext.1038. Your RSVP will ensure we block off enough space for every trunk.

• Bring your vehicle to line up for the event starting at 5 p.m. Spots are available on a first come – first choice basis. Please be prepared with the toys or treats you will be giving out by 5:45 p.m. Decorating is optional, but highly encouraged, especially with lights. Check out the internet for fun ideas.

When: Friday Oct. 26

Set up: Starting at 5 p.m.

Trunk or Treat: 6 p.m. -7 p.m.

Where: Along A Street from the old Jr. High school making a turn on 6th Street leading to the YCAC.

Special thanks to you. Your participation will make this a night to remember. Bring your thermos, family and friends for a fun night out.
