Constance (Connie) Nelson
It’s with a heavy heart and great sadness to announce the passing of Constance (Connie) Nelson 90 years old, who departed this earth on August 19, 2024 in Las Vegas, NV. She is preceded in death by lifelong husband Bill and is survived by three adult children, numerous grandchildren and several great grandchildren.
Born in Santa Clara, CA December 12, 1933 she enjoyed a long life, was a devout Christian and now enters heaven joining her husband Bill Nelson of 65 years to spend eternity together. A longtime resident of Hawthorne, NV, she and husband Bill operated Hawthorne Office Supply/Nelson’s Telephone for a number of years before retiring and traveling together in their RV before settling in Hawthorne to spend their twilight.
She was a local artist and won several awards locally and statewide for her painting and photography. She and Bill enjoyed square dancing and traveled extensively to participate in competitions and gatherings. She was also a member of the BPOE Does organization and donated and volunteered in many local charitable events. She will be missed and her memory will last as her legacy.
She was laid to rest, joining Bill at the Northern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Fernley, NV.
