District Court

  • On March 7, 2017, Joshua Eric Conrad entered a guilty plea to the charge of ex-felon in possession of a firearm, a violation of NRS 202.360, a category B felon. On Aug. 15, he was found guilty and sentenced to imprisonment in the Nevada Department of Corrections for a minimum term of 12 months, from this date and for a maximum term of 48, from this date. He was given credit for time served in the amount of two days, which were applied to the first part of count I. The sentence was suspended and he is ordered to serve a period of probation with Nevada Parole and Probation for 60 months. He was ordered to pay $1,238 in fines and fees. His sentence had terms and conditions and will run concurrent to any other sentence.
  • On June 20, Michael Jay Richards entered a guilty plea to the charge of unlawful use and/or being under the influence of a controlled substance, a violation of NRS 453.411, a category E felony. On Aug. 15 he was found guilty and sentenced to imprisonment in the Nevada Department of Corrections for a minimum term of 12 months, from this date and a maximum term of 34 months, from this date. He was given credit for time in the amount of 91 days, which were applied to the first part of count I. The sentence was suspended and he was ordered to serve a period of probation with Nevada Parole and Probation for 34 months. As a condition of probation, he is to serve 364 days flat time in the Mineral County Detention Facility. His presentence time was applied. Upon jail completion, he will be dishonorably discharged from probation. He is ordered to pay $88 in fines and fees. He will sign a civil confession of judgment regarding the fines and fees owed before he is released from custody. His sentence will run concurrent to any other sentence.
  • On June 20, Danielle Marie Brown entered a guilty plea to the charge of conspiracy to violate the controlled substance act, a violation of NRS 403.401, a category C felony. On Aug. 15, she was found guilty and sentenced to imprisonment in the Nevada Department of Corrections for a minimum term of 24 months, from this date and a maximum term of 60 months, from this date. She was given credit for time served in the amount of 33 days, which were applied to the first part of count I. The sentence was suspended and he was ordered to serve a period of probation not to exceed 60 months. She was ordered to pay $2,588 in fines and fees in a month amount of a minimum of $100 a month. Her sentence had terms and conditions.

Justice Court

  • On Aug. 20, Jamie Scott Miller pled guilty to the charge of obstructing a public officer, NRS 197.190, a misdemeanor. He was found guilty and ordered to pay $540 in fines and fees, credit $150 for one day in jail; pay $50 on the third of each month until paid in full.
  • On Aug. 21, Blake Sheehan Gaston pled guilty to the charge of reckless driving, NRS 484B.653, a misdemeanor. He was found guilty and ordered to pay $525 in fines and fees, DUI school, victim impact panel and two days in jail (credit time served).
