Both the Mineral County High softball and baseball teams were well represented when all-conference honors were handed out last week for the 2019 season.

For softball, Serpent coach Jason Cardenas earned the Coach of the Year award after his team reached the postseason and finished 3-3 in the 1A Northern Conference. Amyah Boyd, Perla Gutierrez and Juliet Hernandez were all named to the First Team, while McKenna Cardenas and Jesslyn Gomez made the Second Team. Lashay Dunagan-Stephens, Alexis Inman and Jerzi Moody-Isom made the Honorable Mention list.

On the baseball side, Treven Wachsmuth was named Pitcher of the Year in the 1A Northern Conference, while Ethan Nelms, Tony Dominguez and Bodie Oberhansli all made the First Team. Seth Bozzi, Gavin Burroughs and Phillip Dees earned Second Team honors and Griffen Inman and Ryan Jaramillo made the Honorable Mention list.

The Serpents made the state tournament and finished 18-16 overall and 5-1 in league play.
