Politicians from both sides of the spectrum will be available for the final candidates night, tonight at 6 p.m. at the Hawthorne Convention Center.
Hosted by the Mineral County Republican Committee as well as the Mineral County Democrat Committee, the forum will offer voters a chance to confirm their choice before heading to the polls.
Many races are up for grabs on the county level, including: commissioner, seat C; recorder-auditor; assessor; sheriff and school board. Candidates from those races have been invited to speak to the public.
Election day is Tuesday, Nov. 6 with early voting beginning Oct. 20. Residents of Mineral County can vote on that date at either the county courthouse in the clerk’s office from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. or at the Walker River Paiute Tribal Office, located at 1022 Hospital Road in Schurz from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m.
Early voting will continue until Nov. 2. (Check with the county clerk for times of availability).
