Justice Court

• On Nov. 15, 2016, Calvin Peter Tillmon pled guilty to the following charges: count 1 – speeding, NRS 484B.600 and count 2 – driving a motor vehicle while driver’s license was suspended, NRS 483.560, all misdemeanors. He was found guilty and ordered to pay the following fines and fees: count 1 – $195 and count 2 – $1,140.

• On Nov. 28, 2016, Brandon Allen Lucia pled guilty to count 2 of the following charges: count 1 – possession of a controlled substance, NRS 453.336, a category E felony; count 2 – driving a motor vehicle while under the influence of a controlled substance, NRS 484C.110; count 3 – possession of one ounce or less of marijuana, NRS 453.336(4)(a); count 4 – speeding, NRS 484B.600 and count 5 – possession of drug paraphernalia, NRS 453.566, all misdemeanors. He was found guilty to count 2 and ordered to pay $685 in fines and fees; ordered to complete DUI school and victim impact panel; sentence to 90 days in jail; credit for four days served; 86 days suspended under the condition he has no law violations for six months and follows court order. Counts 1, 3, 4 and 5 dismissed.

• On May 11, Matthew Caputo pled guilty to the charge of failure to use due care, NRS 484B.603, a misdemeanor. He was found guilty and ordered to pay $525 in fines and fees.

• On July 12, Jason Michael Schulenberg pled guilty to the charge of breach of peace, NRS 203.010, a misdemeanor. He was found guilty and sentenced to time served.

• On July 19, Gary R. Heater pled guilty to the charge of disturbing the peace, NRS 203.010, a misdemeanor. He was found guilty and ordered to pay $150 in fines and fees.

• On Aug. 2, Kevin Favero pled guilty to the following charges: count 1 – failure to stop at stop sign, NRS 484B.257 and count 2 – possession of drug paraphernalia, NRS 453.566, misdemeanors. He was found guilty and ordered to complete 80 hours of community service by Oct. 3, 2017.

• On Aug. 2, Dylan Pence Sanford pled no contest to the following charges: count 1 – breach of peace, NRS 203.010 and count 2 – resisting a public officer, NRS 199.280, misdemeanors. He was found guilty and ordered to pay $195 in fines and fees for each count by Sept. 25, 2017.

• On Aug. 2, Richard Thomas Tucker pled guilty to the charge of disorderly conduct, MCC 9.52.010, a misdemeanor. He was found guilty and sentenced to 30 days in jail, (straight time), suspended under the condition he has no law violations for six months.

• On Aug. 9, Kent Kubach pled no contest to the charge of trespassing, NRS 207.200, a misdemeanor. He was found guilty and sentenced to time served.

• On Aug. 9, Anthony Erwinray Barlow pled guilty to the following charges: count 1 – trespassing, NRS 207.200 and count 2 – obstructing a public officer, NRS 197.190, misdemeanors. He was found guilty and sentenced to six months in jail, suspended under the condition he follow the recommendations made from his alcohol evaluation for one year and is subject to random alcohol testing for one year.

• On Aug. 9, Anthony Erwinray Barlow pled guilty to the charge of breach of peace, NRS 203.010, a misdemeanor. He was found guilty and sentenced to six months in jail, suspended under the condition he follow the recommendations made from his alcohol evaluation for one year and is subject to random alcohol testing for one year.

• On Aug. 9, Anthony Erwinray Barlow pled no contest to the charge of loitering while intoxicated, MCC 9.48.020, a misdemeanor. He was found guilty and sentenced to six months in jail, suspended under the condition he follow the recommendations made from his alcohol evaluation for one year and is subject to random alcohol testing for one year.

District Court

• On Aug. 22, James Paul Robinson was sentenced on his admittance of allegations in a violation reported dated June 13, 2017, to the crime of failure to appear, a violation of NRS 199.335, a category D felony. His probation was revoked and he was found guilty. He was sentenced to imprisonment in the Nevada Department of Corrections for a minimum of 19 months and a maximum term of 48 months from this date, with credit of 118 days presentence time served.

• On Aug. 9, James Dwayne Vansandt, Jr. was sentenced on his guilty plea to the crime of violation of temporary order for protection against stalking, a violation of NRS 200.591(5)(c), a gross misdemeanor. He was found guilty and sentenced to 365 days in the Mineral County Jail, at Hawthorne, Mineral County, Nevada. The sentence was suspended and he was placed on court supervised probation for a period of three years from this date, with terms and conditions. He was ordered to pay $28 in fines and fees. He was given credit for 36 days presentence confinement time.
