Charles Patrick Theisen

1947-2016

On the morning of June 5, 2016 Charles passed away of natural causes at his home. He was 69 years old.

Charles “Pat” was born in Igloo, S.D. on Jan. 11, 1947 to William Peter Theisen and Edna Agnes Hooker. He was the youngest of three children. His spent his years living all over the western states, including: Illinois; New Mexico; Wyoming; Idaho; Washington; Arizona, Nevada and Utah, however he always had a strong love for the Black Hills of South Dakota.

After graduating Clearfield High School in Utah, he went on to Weber State University where he majored in biology, botany and zoology.

His career in environmental sciences took him all over the landscape of the west. He worked with the US Forest Service, State of Arizona, Utah Department of Health and Hawthorne Army Depot in Nevada.

Charles was a brave single father of two young girls until meeting his soul mate and love of his life, Carla, in 1982. They wed and joined their families, his two girls and her three boys.

He had a love for the outdoors and nature, was an enthusiastic hunter, fisherman, spending many nights camping with family. Other interests included billiards, raising Boston Terriers and cooking extravagant meals.

He is preceded in death by his parents William and Edna. He is survived by is wife Carla Kay Winfree; daughters April Theisen, Spring Tea (Charles); three stepsons: Dan Robbins (Trina), Dallas Robbins, Dustin Robbins (Tara), brother Joseph Theisen (Eileen), sister Ellen Hallmark (Lance), along with one granddaughter expected in autumn and four step-grandchildren.

A viewing will take place on Thursday, June 9 at 10 a.m. followed by services at 11 a.m. at Myers Mortuary 5865 S. 1900 W. Roy, Utah 84067

Interment will at Ben Lomond Cemetery 526 E 2850 N, North Ogden Utah 84414.
