What was once a hidden treasure for Mineral County residents will now be available in Northern Nevada and possibly throughout the West.
Hogg Sauce, a barbeque sauce, which was developed from the family recipe of Dede and Chris Hegg of Pepper’s Place in Hawthorne, is now sitting on shelves for retail sales.
Available at Napa-Sonoma; Sportsman’s Warehouse in Reno and Carson and Winco in Reno, the tasty topping is having a large success.
Customers already knew that Hogg Sauce would be a hit when the couple began topping everything from chicken to fries,
But Hogg Sauce isn’t stopping at the Nevada border. In negotiations with Raley’s, the company is looking at the product for their western region and international trade has also been discussed.
Hogg Sauce has made appearances at Reno radio stations (such as 103.7, The River, as pictured) and the Cantaloupe Festival in Fallon.
Made first in their home as a simple topping, Hogg Sauce is breaking free of small town America and heading for sights unknown. Rumor is, it will be taking new products with it.
Mineral County residents will still be able to taste test and give their comments of new products when they are unveiled at Pepper’s Place.
