First day of school for Mineral County students will be Aug. 21. Mineral County High School/Jr. High School students, grades 7 – 12, are to report to the high school gym by 8 a.m. on Monday, Aug. 21. Class schedules, locker combinations, information packets and forms will be given to students. Parents/guardians are to complete these packets and return them within the first week of school.

The school understands this is a time-consuming process for parents/guardians but it is important that we have accurate contact information.

Student body cards for grades 7-12 are available for $20 and are required for all athletes in order to play sports. Student body cards will be available for purchase in the office. Class dues are $5 each school year, including 7th and 8th-grade students. These dues are applied toward class activities during the school year; we ask that these fees be paid by Sept. 12. Certain elective classes, i.e.: the wood shop will require an additional lab fee for specialty supplies (teachers will give this information to the students).

Each teacher will inform students of any supplies that they may need for their course. We would request that each student come to school supplied with a notebook/paper, pencil or pen and composition books on the first day of school. Students enrolled in PE are required to wear a separate pair of gym shoes when they are in the gym. No street shoes will be allowed on the high school and jr. high school gym floors. Students must also have a change of clothes for PE class, more information will be provided by the teacher.
