Donald Lee Brooks passed away in Hawthorne on March 4, 2024
Donald was born in Bowie, Texas December 24, 1928, Lived on Concord and Livermore, Ca, then moved to Nevada,lived outside of Gabbs at Dougonwell for 17 years, moved to Hawthorne approximately 4 years, Donald and his wife Doris owned band operated A & D Plumbing and Silver Star Construction & Excavation at 960 E Street, next to the Convention Center.
Accomplishments, graduated from University of Pacific Stockton, CA. He is in the Hall of Fame at the University for his sports, a teacher, and was a Lt. in the U. S. Army during the Korean War Med. Division, is a veteran, had contractor companies in California and Nevada, Emerald Builder, Emerald pool, electric, D &K Pool, Northbay construction, Western Development, Stage Stop Ranch- Reese River and on the Hill Ranch in Livermore, Calif.
He is survived by his wife Doris and brother James, children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
