James Lloyd Hardy

James (Jim) Lloyd Hardy longtime resident of Walker Lake and Hawthorne passed away on June 12, 2018. Born April 14, 1936 in Las Vegas to Franklin Hardy and Ida McKnight Hardy.

Jim was proceeded in death by his parents and four siblings, Roy Hardy, Doyle Hardy, Hazel Viani and Ben Hardy. Jim is survived by his little sister, Mildred Shepherd and sister-in-law, Bennye Hardy (wife of brother Roy Hardy).

Jim passed away peacefully at home at 12:26 p.m. on June 12, 2018 surrounded by his family.  He was always a very busy man, building dune buggies he and his sons would race and he built many classic pickups and race cars for friends.  Jim was a friend of so many people whom he loved dearly. Jim was always busy with a project; never idle all his life even until his last breath. A faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather and friend who will be missed dearly.

He leaves behind his childhood sweetheart of 67 years, LaVerne Hardy; along with two sons: Timothy Guy Hardy and Tyrone Frank Hardy; two daughters, Sandra Adriene Hardy and Sharon Louise Randall; daughter-in-laws, Dena Loraine Hardy and April Dawn Hardy; eight grandchildren: Lisa Ann Iacovelli, Kristina Adriene Roberts, Joshua James Hardy, Tyson John Henry Hardy, Brandon Lloyd Hardy, Rochelle Alek Zandra LaVerne Hardy, Tina Louise McNeiece and Pamela Randall and eight great grandchildren: Tynessa Kristina Iacovelli, Zayan Lee,  Kaiden John Hardy,  Nevaeh Hardy,  Aiyden Hardy, Louey McNeiece, Harper McNeiece and Carmen Lee andmany nieces and nephews.

A viewing was held Friday, June 15 followed by interment at Kohler Lawn Cemetery in Nampa, Idaho.
