The Mineral County High School basketball team is heading to the postseason as the top seed after finishing conference play a perfect 10-0.
The Serpents won their final two conference games last weekend, first beating Pahranagat Valley Friday night 65-30. Andre White led a balanced attack with 14 points, eight rebounds and nine assists while Drake Spanier added 11 points. Devayne Isom finished with 10 points and Joe Davis put in eight. Jagvaun Jones pulled down nine rebounds in the win.

Saturday night the Serpents took down Lund 61-53, in a key matchup to determine the top spot in the Central Division. Isom led all scorers with 20 points and also had seven steals. White had 16 points and five steals while Tristen Jones scored eight and added eight boards. Tyler Thoma helped on the glass with seven rebounds.
The regional tournament will be in Tonopah on Friday and Saturday this week. The Serpents will play Beatty at 4:40 p.m. on Friday and Lund will play Round Mountain at 8 p.m. The winners will meet on Saturday for the Central Regional Championship at 2 p.m. The top two teams will advance to the state tournament in Reno the following week.
