The University of Nevada Cooperative Extension and Mineral County Parks and Recreation is teaming up with the Mineral County Sheriff’s Office, Mineral County School District, Hot Rods and Hooligans and many other community members to make Harvest Festival 2019 the best one yet.

They are looking for businesses, organizations and community members to sign up to participate in the Annual Fall Festival on Saturday, Oct. 26. How can you participate? You can host a booth inside during the Fall Festival or you can hand out treats outside at the Trunk or Treat Event.

What is Trunk or Treat? A Trunk or Treat is a safe venue for the town’s youth to trick-or-treat, traveling from decorated car to car. Line your trunk or tailgate along the path to hand out treats. As part of the Teal Pumpkin Program, we encourage having a few non-food related treats available so that everyone can participate.

How to Participate:

  • RSVP by calling the following numbers: 775-945-3377 or 775-945-3444 ext 1037. This will ensure we block off your spot in the gym and that we enough space for every vehicle participating.
  • Fall Festival: Prepare a fun game, activity or treat for the festivities, set up your area have fun. Trunk or Treat: Bring your vehicle to line up for the event starting at 4 p.m. Spots are available on a first come first choice basis. Please be prepared with the toys or treats you will be giving out by 4:45 p.m. Decorating is optional, but highly encouraged.
  • When: Saturday, Oct. 26 Fall Festival: 2 p.m. (set starts at 1 p.m.) Trunk or Treat: 5-6 p.m. (set-up starts at 4 p.m.) Where: The Fall Festival will be in the old junior high school gymnasium. Trunk or Treat will start on A Street and end at the YCAC. Special thanks to you. Your participation will make this a fun and memorable experience for our community!
