Spring has sprung and with that, Bighorn Sheep lambs can be seen on gracefully hanging on the cliffs in mountain side throughout Mineral County. After only six months gestation time, these lambs only weigh approximately seven pounds at birth. After birth, lambs have the ability to walk and follow their mothers on their native landscape. The lambs and ewes will live in a segregated herd while the lambs beginning putting weigh on for the upcoming winter while also learning the migratory route by following their elders.
