William James, age 78 of Luning, was listed as a missing person last week by Mineral County Sheriff’s Office.
According to paperwork found at his resident and at his last known location, he was still in the area between Feb. 16 – 23. Mineral County Search and Rescue and residents of Luning have conducted search parties in the area where it is believed that James was last located. No signs of the elderly man have been found.
James stood six foot, three inches and weighed 190 pounds with grey hair and blue eyes. He walked from his home outside of Luning into the small town accompanied by medium to large sized white and black dogs.
Anyone who may have seen James in the Luning area is urged to contact the sheriff’s office at 775-945-2434.
“The investigation of William James is ongoing,” Lt. Brian Dillard of the Mineral County Sheriff’s Office told the Independent-News. “Any information would be welcomed.”
