The Mineral County High girls basketball team is on a 10-game winning streak after a pair of wins last week.

Perla Gutierrez led the way with 20 points and Lashay Stephens added 12 in a 58-57 win over Oasis on Friday. Raynee Knight had eight points and 11 rebounds in the win.

The girls traveled to Coleville the next day and knocked off the Wolves 45-41. Mineral County trailed heading into the final quarter but outscored Coleville 16-8 in the fourth to secure the victory.

Gutierrez had 22 in the win and Jerzi Moody-Isom scored nine points and pulled down 12 rebounds.

The Serpents are now 6-0 in league play and sit in first place ahead of 5-1 Coleville.

They played the Wolves on Tuesday again and will host Round Mountain and Tonopah this weekend.
