Aug. 8, 1927 to Dec. 6, 2018

Elwayne Elmer Everett, age 91, of Hawthorne passed away Dec. 6, 2018. He was born Aug. 8, 1927 in Santa Ana, Calif., to Elmer and Olga Everett.

He is survived by his wife, Kim Diaz of Hawthorne; sister, Diane Farley; sons, Eric Everett of Washington and Evan Everett of Riverside, Calif., grandson Evan Everett of California and granddaughter Carlie Everett of Washington; also great grandchildren: Ayden, Hunter and Maddox.

He was a veteran serving in WWII as a weatherman. He later mined in Alaska and designed a manufactured house for Priscilla Presley and also designed a golf course for Doris Day.

Elwayne and his father farmed in California from San Bernardino to San Diego and was the owner of the Topaz Lodge at Topaz, Nevada. He will be missed dearly by all.

He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. A memorial service will be held Jan. 5, 2019 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Hawthorne located at 207 South A Street at 11 a.m. Flowers can be sent to the church.
