Mineral County Sheriff’s Office released a statement to the Independent-News regarding a Nov. 2 traffic stop which ended one being arrested and detained in the Mineral County Detention Center on a bail of $105,000.

At approximately 3:04 a.m., members of the sheriff’s office made a traffic stop on a white Nissan Rogue SUV for speeding outside of Luning, the statement explained.

“During the stop, officers became suspicious of possible criminal activity. Mineral County Sheriff’s Office K-9 Pjak was deployed around the exterior of the vehicle which he positively alerted.”

The search of the vehicle would reveal approximately 100 pounds of marijuana. The subject driving the Nissan would be identified as Howard Ingalls of Jermone, Mich. He was arrested and booked into the Mineral County Detention Facility on the following charges: NRS 453.339 Trafficking Controlled Substance Marijuana and NRS 453.337 Possession of Controlled Substance for the Purpose of Sale.

Ingalls was able to make bail.
