Did you know that you can help teachers at Hawthorne Elementary School (HES) earn money for their classrooms in a really simple way? All you need to do is clip Box Tops off of products from General Mills and then send them to school. Each classroom teacher keeps track of the amount of Box Tops that their students bring in, and then twice a year they are sent in to be redeemed as cash.

Not sure how to help HES earn money with the Box Tops for Education program? Here is some helpful information for you! First, there is The Clip Program. This allows you to earn cash for your school by clipping the Official Box Tops for Education “Box Tops” from the packages of hundreds of purchased participating products. A list of products may be accessed at

Another way to earn is with Bonus Box Tops. These are offered in a variety of ways. Sometimes they will be in the form of a certificate on the packages. Other times, you can receive Bonus Box Tops by participating in promotional offers. You can even download the Box Tops for Education Bonus App. With this App, you purchase participating products and then scan your receipt to earn the Bonus Box Tops. They are automatically banked into Hawthorne Elementary School’s Box Top account.

Whatever way you choose to collect Box Tops, the teachers at Hawthorne Elementary School truly appreciate your help! Teachers use the cash for various purposes such as: incentives and prizes, new books, snacks, and anything else they can think of to help their students be successful. When you see a Box Top on one of the products that you purchase, please remember to clip it and send it into school. Our next collection will be on February 19, 2019.
