Harold Hill Carr, 90, passed away on Sunday, March 4, 2018 at VA Community Living Center in Reno. Harold was born in Hubbard, Texas on June 18, 1927 to Clifford B. and Mary Pearl Carr, one of four children. At the age of seventeen he joined the Marine Corps and retired in 1967, serving in World War 2 and Korea. While stationed in Hawthorne, he met his wife Goldie; they enjoyed 52 years of traveling, hunting, fishing, and camping, but most of all spending time with children and grandchildren. He retired from the Washoe County School District. He is survived by sister, Wanda Jean Sager (Waco, Texas); daughter, Janice (Ken) Leigh (Sparks); five grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren. Harold was an active member of Reno First Baptist Church/ Bridge Church since 1960. He was a dedicated supporter of the food pantry. He was kind to everyone and will be truly missed. A celebration of his life is scheduled for Saturday, April 7 at 11 a.m. at The Bridge Church, Reno, NV, 1330 Foster Drive.
