The Mineral County High boys basketball team coasted to wins over the weekend. On Friday, the Serpents traveled to Carson City to play Sierra Lutheran.

The Mineral County boys led 49-29 at the end of the third period and cruised to a 65-46 victory. Andre Davis was the high scorer with 16 points. Taylen Wachsmuth had 13 points and 10 rebounds while Robert McFalls added 12 points, three assists and four blocked shots. Vic Montoya and Devon Davis had six points each.

On Saturday, the Serpents hosted the Coleville Wolves. The Serpents ran off to a 46-9 lead at halftime. Everyone scored as the home team won 70-28. McFalls was the games leading scorer with 15 points, Davis had 11, Montoya 10, followed by Wachsmuth and Austin Tweedy with seven points each.

The Serpents will travel to Whittell on Friday as both teams are 3-0 in conference play.

On Saturday, Pyramid Lake will be in town. There will only be the varsity girls and boys games starting at 4 p.m.
