Charred remains of a deadly fire in Mina gutted nearly half a block of the small Mineral County town last Wednesday.
The Nevada State Fire Marshalls Office is still investigating the cause of a house fire in Mina on Wednesday, Oct. 26.
The fire began at approximately 9:45 p.m. Volunteers from the Mina Fire Department as well as those in Hawthorne and Walker Lake responded to the house fire located on 10th Street in the small Mineral County town.
Authorities have stated that human remains were found inside of the home but identification has not yet been completed per Mineral County Sheriff’s Office.
An exact cause of the fire has yet to be determined.
The fire destroyed nearly a half of a block in Mina.
As a former resident of Luning, this saddens me to hear about this. Mina was my “getaway” when I didn’t have a way into Hawthorne. Prayers for everyone affected.
