Plenty of fun planned for 9/11 Challenge
If the thought of hiking 17 or 9.11 miles doesn’t appeal to you, the 9/11 Challenge Committee has planned a weekend full of activities designed for all citizens to honor those who lost their lives on 9/11.

The 9/11 Parade procession will begin at 5:30 p.m. down Main Street to Veteran’s Memorial Park on Friday, Sept. 9.  Then, packet pick up and registration will commence immediately following the raising of the big flag and 911-remembrance ceremony on Friday evening.

Again, this year Mt. Grant Electric will host the spaghetti dinner, which is free to 9/11 Challenge participants and a donation for all others. The grand finale for the weekend will be a 911 Memorial Breakfast at the B.P.O. Elks Lodge on Sunday, Sept. 11.   For further information consult the website 911mt.grantchallenge.org or the organizations Facebook page.
