5We remember Jim Ganschow, born in Palo Alto, Calif. on Aug. 25, 1944 and passing on May 19, 2015 in Reno, Nev.

Jim is preceded in death by father Carl and mother Eileen and his sister, Delores.

Jim began his life with illnesses as a young child.  Because he was in and out of hospitals for many months at a time, he started a dislike for doctors and hospitals.  But it was there that he got a love for cars.  From toy cars, he graduated into real cars and then car parts.  Jim graduated from Mineral County High School, moving into local work at various businesses.  He worked for Jeff’s Flying A, Jay Jordan’s Used Cars, devoted 26 years at NAD in Hawthorne and he owned and operated an Auto Dismantling Shop on 6th and K St.  Jim also worked for the Day Zimmerman ammunition plant, Woody’s Chevrolet and Ace’s Ford.

He is survived by his brothers, Steve and David; children Lynn Little and Jimmy Young; Grandchildren Kenny and Joshua Little, and a great grandson, Konnor Little.  Grandchildren also include, Amanda and Walker Young, Joe and Ashley Young, Jacob and Joey Young and Jaxon and Alex Young.

Memorial services were held on May 27 at the Community Presbyterian Church.
