Thank You,

The Lions Club of Mineral County would like to send heart-felt thanks to the following individuals:

Travis Hart, Jimmy Richards and Marc MacPherson of Woody’s Automotive and Towing for moving the conex boxes to the cemetery for us to store our flags and decorations in.

Marcus and Cameo Lambright for their tireless help in our BBQ at Lions Park on Armed Forces Day.

Mike James of the Mineral County Care and Share for moving the grill to the park (and taking it back home) and for standing by to cook and serve for our fundraiser.

Special thank you to Boy Scout Troops 32 and 75  with Greg West for putting up flags at the cemetery for Memorial Day

Thank you thank you thank you to Gary Funk, too!

But most of all thank you to everyone that has supported the Lions Club of Mineral County – either by participating, or by purchasing during our sandwich fundraiser, our BBQ fundraiser or the Friendship Day Flowers.  We hope we can continue to depend on you all in the near future for other fundraisers.

Please keep an eye out for future articles from the Lions Club. We plan on holding several fun and necessary fundraisers-Friendship Day Flowers (orders up to November 19 with delivery on the 20th), a sandwich fundraiser (orders up to September 17 with delivery on the 18th) scheduled so far!

We will also be looking for volunteers to decorate our downtown for Christmas –starting with Veteran’s Park and the streetlights up and down Main Street on December 5.  Lions Club will be having the tree lighting ceremony (near McDonald’s) on December 6.

Thank you Mineral County for all your support.  It is our hope to bring the Lion’s Club back as a very active community service.  Anyone that might be interested in becoming a Lion please contact:  Agnes Dockrey, Lion’s Club President.
