Remembering the legacy of a woman who gave so much back to her community, a special group of individuals came together to raise money for the Jackson family after the death of Hawthorne resident, JoAnn.

In true JoAnn spirit, this group made more than 500 Indian tacos and fry bread, feeding the hungry of Mineral County on Jan. 25 for a mere donation which was given to the Jackson family.

JoAnn was active in many aspects of the Mineral County communities. From feeding the under-privileged; to drying the eyes of the abused or counseling to the lost, her place in the lives of many is now vacant.
