I would like to offer my heartfelt thank you to the community of Hawthorne; my family, including my husband’s family; my friends; and those gracious contributors who have never heard of me but wanted to offer support to the outstanding fundraiser held on my behalf as I fight cancer. I can’t thank everyone enough for the support and hard work that went into this fundraiser.
This cancer diagnosis and my chemotherapy have been so hard on me and my family but with the grace of God and the support we have received we are going to battle this until we beat it.
I would also like to individually thank several folks who were instrumental in making this fundraiser so successful. This is not an exhaustive list, as I know there will be some people who I forgot to include, and for this I apologize beforehand.
I would like to thank: Carolyn and Woody Isom; Ricky Isom and Melissa Danilson; Jim and Courtney Robison and Jersey Moody; Curtis and Diana Isom; Vonnie Doolin; Ann Kee; Georgia Winser; Larry and Delphine Kintz; Search and Rescue for laying out the course for the Poker Run; Karen Womack; Barbara and Jim Edington; Darryl Conway and Paul Trujillo; Art Jones and his band the Missionaries; and the VFW and its members.
When my son Toby came by after the fundraiser he had a message from Ricky Isom to us and that was to say even though you haven’t lived in Hawthorne for awhile, you are from here and the people never forgot and Hawthorne has a huge heart.
Well he was right and I can’t say how much this blessing has filled my heart and I thank everyone to include their thoughts and prayers for helping me and my family through this difficult time.
