Mineral County Clerk and Treasurer Lorraine Haight is resigning from her office, as reported to the Independent-News.
Her letter of resignation was read into the minutes during the May 20 Board of County Commissioners meeting.
She has served five and a half months, after winning the 2014 General Election against Chris Nepper. Haight has been a county employee for many years, having worked for the sheriff’s department and in the district attorney’s office/child support division.
