The annual Christmas Bazaar, sponsored by the OLPH Catholic Ladies Guild, is scheduled for Saturday, November 16, from 9 a.m.to 3 p.m. at the Hawthorne Convention Center/USO Building. Crafters and vendors who participated last year will receive applications in the mail. New-comers may request a space by calling Theresa Thyne at 920-883-7606. Due to high demand and limited space, requests for tables should be made early.
This bazaar is Hawthorne’s biggest and best! In addition to tables loaded with gift items for your holiday shopping, the bazaar will feature a raffle, photos with Santa Claus, a bake sale, and food service from the kitchen all day. It offers a great opportunity to shop locally, have lunch with friends, and get into the Christmas spirit. This year’s raffle will include two themed gift baskets, as well as the popular cash prizes of $300, $200, and $100. Tickets will be available in October at $5 for a book of six tickets. Tickets can also be purchased at the door.
A portion of the profits is always donated to a community organization or local group in appreciation of the tremendous support received from the community. Recent recipients include the Hawthorne Volunteer Fire Department, Mineral County Senior Center, the Mineral County Animal Shelter, CAHS, and others. The Ladies Guild anticipates another successful event in 2024. Mark your calendars!
