The City of Fallon is pleased to announce a ribbon-cutting ceremony and grand opening event for Fallon on Ice, a newly built ice skating rink for the community. The ice rink will be open on November 18, along with a ribbon-cutting ceremony and inaugural skate session to celebrate.

The ribbon-cutting ceremony will take place from 11 a.m. to 11:30 a.m., with Mayor Ken Tedford scheduled to give his remarks. Media and the public are invited to the ceremony, which will be followed by a free skate session starting at 12 p.m. The event will also have local vendors including food trucks, a boutique, and a coffee truck.

“We are thrilled to celebrate this newest addition to the Fallon community as it will become a gathering place for locals and visitors to create long-lasting memories,” said Mayor Tedford. “It’s incredible to witness the continued growth of the City of Fallon over the years and I am looking forward to what’s to come next.”

The rink, which is 100 ft by 40 ft, will have VIP tents and various party package options available for purchase, as well as regular themed skate sessions and promotions. Fallon on Ice will be giving back to the community, with promotions in November such as Shop Small Saturday and a canned food drive.
