THANKS FOR A SUCCESSFUL CHRISTMAS BAZAAR!
Mother Nature smiled down on the town of Hawthorne on November 4th, providing a perfect day for the annual Christmas Bazaar. The Catholic Ladies Guild, under the leadership of President Theresa Thyne, is grateful for the tremendous support that led to the success of the event. A steady crowd of people flowed in and out all day long, socializing and enjoying the bazaar. Amazing talent was evident in the 30 tables filled with creative offerings. The center, also known as the USO building, was a convenient and ideal venue for our needs.
We wish to thank all who helped in any capacity to make the event a success. There are far too many to name individually, but we appreciate every one of you! Special thanks to the crafters and vendors, without whom there would be no bazaar; the many bakers and cooks who shared their special recipes; the busy food servers; Santa and his helpers, who put smiles (and a few tears) on many faces; all who bought or sold raffle tickets; those who made generous donations; the advertisers, especially the Mineral County Independent News, and others who advertised on Facebook, via posters, or by word of mouth; and finally, all who helped with the organization, set-up, decorating, and clean-up. Many hands contributed.
We are proud and blessed to live in a community that comes together as one, especially in a world that is filled with chaos and division. The OLPH Ladies Guild wishes all of you a very Merry Christmas and a holiday season filled with love and friendship.
In closing, we are proud to announce the winners of the All Cash Raffle. First, second, and third places went respectively to Janeen Clark, Sheryl Millsap, and Cory Rivero. Congratulations to all three!
