Higher Frequency Healing has taken over the space previously occupied by Souled Out, providing a brick-and-mortar gift shop and energy healing/reiki services for the Mineral County community.

Higher Frequency Healing officially opened on October 1, 2022, and had its ribbon cutting ceremony this past April. Owner Brandy Keenan said that the store has been gaining momentum as more people find out about them, allowing Keenan to dedicate more time to the business (whereas when launching the store, she was still working three days a week at the hospital).

Her and her business partner Kerie Justus had been running an online business for four years and Keenan felt like she was constantly on-call, whereas with a physical location they can have set hours.

“So, when this space became available, we moved in,” Keenan said. She moved to Hawthorne from Montana five years ago to be closer to her father.

Higher Frequency Healing has crystals, sage, reiki, and it hosts free meditation sessions on Wednesday nights as well as host seasonal potlucks and perhaps another candle-making class (it held one back when the store was still Souled Out, and the class proved to be popular). The owners have also made a good amount of open space inside available to the community, giving local vendors the ability to rent space for $30 per month and keep all their profits.

“We don’t take a commission. We want to be able to grow ourselves and give back to the community, but we also need to eat,” Keenan smiles.

Higher Frequency Healing also has couches for people to come sit, relax, and decompress when they need to.

“We just keep getting more and more foot traffic now that we have our sign up, and people have been referred to us,” she said.
