This past August, Laura Lee (Jones) Chambers passed away peacefully in her home in Lake Havasu City, AZ. Laura was a beautiful person inside and out. She loved God and life as she knew it. She worked in the food and beverage industry for many years and was a very fine cook. She especially enjoyed providing training programs for other employees in the hospitality industry.
Laura delighted in her dogs and in the beauty of Nature. One of the highlights of her life was swimming with a dolphin named Callie at Sea World in San Diego. Laura had a beautiful singing voice and played both guitar and keyboard for accompanying herself.

Laura is survived by her parents, Barbara and Clifford Nelms of Hawthorne, NV and her daughter Ashley Baker of Everett, WA. Those who loved Laura believe that she is with God now and with other loved ones who have gone before her.
A Celebration of Laura’s Life will be held on Saturday, October 8, 4 p.m. at the USO Building, 932 E Street in Hawthorne, NV. We give thanks for Laura’s many gifts and for her loving and generous spirit.
