A forfeit win over Round Mountain last week ran the Mineral County High School football teams record to 6-2 overall and 1-1 in league play with just one game left to play.

The Serpents suffered their lone conference loss the week before when they fell at Smith Valley 60-24 on Oct. 19.

Mineral County plays at Tonopah (6- 1, 1-1) Friday night in the final game of the regular season. The Muckers are coming off a 56-33 win over Coleville last week.

Smith Valley leads the 1A Central Conference with a 7-0 record overall and finishes the season with Coleville Saturday. Mineral County and Tonopah are tied for second with the Bulldogs in last place.
