Gloria Bale, a Senior at Mineral County High School, earned her Associates Degree from Western Nevada College on Monday, May 20 days before she will receive her high school diploma. Bale was a part of a dual-enrollment opportunity offered by WNC known as the Jump Start College Program. The program offers high school students the ability to complete up to 60 college credits and simultaneously finish high school. The Jump Start College conferred degrees to 131 high school students, with Bale representing Mineral County High School.
Bale plans on attending the University of Nevada, Reno this fall with plans to work in the field of veterinary medicine.
