Jewell Rose (Milner) Smith, 92, went home to the Father on May 17.
Jewell was born on Sept. 29, 1926 to Edward and Myrtle Milner in Camden, Ark. She met and married Franklin A. “Smitty” Smith and they moved to Hawthorne. She was a member of the First Southern Baptist Church. She was an employee of Mineral County Public Health Office from 1963 until she retired in 1989.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Franklin A. “Smitty” Smith.
She is survived by her daughter: Norma J. Lowry of Janesville, Calif.; son: Donald R. (Sandy) Smith of Hawthorne; daughter: Cherie A. Smith of Reno and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.
