On Saturday the Mineral County High School track & field team traveled to Reno to compete at McQueen High School.
The Serpents showed no spring break rust and performed well. Alex Palacios began his season debut by jumping 37 feet in triple jump good enough for 2nd in the Northern 1A. He also ran the 200 in 25 seconds putting him in 4th. Tony Torres jumped 18’3 inches long jump that puts him 2 inches out of 1st.
Issac Torres ran the 400 meter dash in 60 seconds which is 3rd in the north. Bobbie Dillard ran a great race in the 100 meter winning her heat and reclaiming 1st in the north and Ngahina Musselman shaved six seconds off of the 300 hurdles putting her one second out of 4th.
