Betty J. Page, a past long time resident of Hawthorne passed away in her sleep on March 19 in Sparks. Betty, born June 10, 1928 in Monett, Mo., came to Hawthorne with her late husband Clinton Warren Page and their four children in October 1952. They resided in Babbitt until 1962 when they moved to Hawthorne.

Betty not only was a mother and homemaker, she also worked at Johnson’s Pharmacy in Babbitt, the Mercantile Grocery & Hardware in Hawthorne and finally as the manager of the Office of the Hawthorne Water Department. After she and Warren retired, they made their home for several years in Yuma, Ariz. When Warren passed away in 2000, she moved to Sparks to be closer to her family.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Clinton W. Page and her grandchild, Teri Brannman.

Betty is survived by her four children: Leslie Brannman, Helena, Mont., Sherry Cardenas, Hawthorne; Bob Page, Henderson and Bill Page, Reno; six grandchildren, ten great grandchildren and one great great grandchild.

Everyone that new Betty will miss her laugh and good sense of humor.

Graveside services will be held at the Hawthorne Cemetery at 11 a.m. Saturday, April 20.
