Alex Porter from Great Basin College visited with MCHS seniors last week.
Alex Porter, Great Basin College ambassador, met with our Mineral County High School senior GEAR UP students last week and held a time management workshop.
The students learned how to effectively schedule out time during their busy schedules and prepare for balancing time productively when they attend college. The students also received in their workshop handouts 101 tips for time management and time saver strategies and underwent a self assessment to understand where their time is currently being used.
Porter also took the high school seniors on a Great Basin College virtual tour. The virtual tour guided the students through the campus allowing them to see the day to day activities happening on campus and course offerings all while being seated in the classroom.
