The Mineral County Sheriff’s Office is increasing its crime-fighting arsenal with a new app to help residents connect with the department to find information, view alerts, and submit anonymous tips from their smartphone.

Developed by tip411, the Mineral Co Sheriff app puts a powerful new crime-fighting tool into the hands of community members of all ages. The Mineral Co Sheriff app is available for download for free via the Google Play Store, iTunes App Store, or by visiting the Mineral County Sheriff’s Office website at mineralcountynv.us/government .

“Our primary mission at the Mineral County Sheriff’s Office is to serve and protect our citizens,” said Mineral County Sheriff Randy Adams. “I believe our new app will help us better connect with residents so that we can all work together to make Mineral County a safer place to live and visit.”

The Mineral Co Sheriff app and tip411 anonymous text a tip system are 100 percent anonymous, as the technology removes all identifying information before deputies see the tips and there is no way to identify the sender.

Residents in Mineral County without a smartphone can send anonymous text tips via their cell phone to deputies by texting keyword MCTIP and their message/tip to 847411 (tip411). Anonymous web tips can also be submitted through our website at mineralcountynv.us/government .
