District Court

• On Sept. 13, 2016, Michael Jay Richards was sentenced after admitting to allegations contained in violations reports dated Aug. 26, 2016 The court found that Richards violated terms and conditions of his probation and that his probation should be revoked. Richards was found guilty to the crime of possession of a controlled substance, a violation of NRS 453.336, a category E felony. The court found him guilty and he is to serve 269 days, flat time, with no good or work time credit to be given, in the Mineral County Jail at Hawthorne, Nev. Upon his release, he will be dishonorably discharged from his probation grant.

• On Nov. 22, 2016, Austin James McInnis was sentenced to his guilty plea of unlawful use and/or being under the influence of a controlled substance, a violation of NRS 453.411, a category E felony. He was found guilty and placed under the supervision of Nevada Parole and Probation for a period not to exceed three years with special terms and conditions. He was ordered to pay $588 in fines and fees within the first year of his probation grant.

• On Nov. 22, 2016, James Carver Huston was sentenced on his guilty plea of unlawful sale of a controlled substance, a violation of NRS 453.321, a category E felony. He was found guilty and sentenced to imprisonment with the Nevada Department of Corrections for a maximum term of 72 months, with a minimum parole eligibility of 28 months from this date. It was ordered that this judgment be suspended and he was placed under the supervision of Nevada Parole and Probation for a term of five years with special terms and conditions. He was ordered to pay $1,338 in fines and fees by Nov. 22, 2018. He was given credit for 72 days presentence confinement time.

• On Oct. 24, Alexandra Jade Eyonne Duncan-Byer was sentenced to her guilty plea of unlawful use and/or being under the influence of a controlled substance, a violation of NRS 453.411, a category E felony. She was found guilty and placed under the supervision of Nevada Parole and Probation for a period not to exceed three years with special terms and conditions. She was ordered to pay $88 in fines and fees. She was given credit for 46 days presentence confinement time.

• On Nov. 2, Amanda Ruth Anker was granted dismissal per her negotiations in the guilty plea agreement on file.

• On Nov. 2, Joshua Rex Blankenship was granted dismissal per her negotiations in the guilty plea agreement on file.

• On Nov. 28, James Paul Robinson was granted dismissal on his crime of issuance of checks without sufficient funds with an intent to defraud, a violation of NRS 2056.130, a category D felony. Robinson paid restitution in full to victims in said case.

Justice Court

• On Dec. 29, 2016, Jasbir S. Khaira pled guilty to driving a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol, NRS 484C.110, a misdemeanor. He was found guilty and ordered to pay $685 in fines and fees; ordered to complete DUI school; victims impact panel and 24 hours of community service.

• On Nov. 20, Garrett Noelty Crittenden pled guilty to brandishing a deadly weapon in a threatening manner, NRS 202.320, a misdemeanor. He was found guilty and sentenced to 90 days in jail, suspended under the condition that he not consume alcohol, marijuana or illegal drugs and have no law violations for one year.

• On Nov. 20, Breanna Brooke Davison pled guilty to resisting a public officer, NRS 199.280, a misdemeanor. She was found guilty and ordered to pay $525 in fines and fees; sentenced to 30 days in jail; credit for two days served; 28 days suspended under the condition she has no law violations for six months and pays fine. All other charges in this case were dismissed.
