District Court

• On Nov. 22, 2016, Jessica Martene Eusted was sentenced after admitting to allegations contained in violations reports dated Aug. 31, 2016. The court found that Eusted violated terms and condition of her probation and that her probation should be revoked. Eusted was found guilty of the crime of unlawful use of a controlled substance, a violation of NRS 453.411, a category E felony. The court found her guilty and she was sentenced to imprisonment in the Nevada Department of Corrections for a maximum term of 34 months with a minimum parole eligibility of 12 months from that date. This order was suspended and Eusted was placed under the supervision of chief parole and probation officer of the State of Nevada for four months with special terms and conditions. She was ordered to pay $238 in fines and fees and was given credit for 249 days presentence confinement time.

• On Oct. 10, Josue Roberto Linares was sentenced after entering a plea of guilty to the crime of possession of a controlled substance, a violation of NRS 453.336. a category E felony. He was found guilty and sentenced to imprisonment in the Nevada Department of Corrections for a maximum term of 36 months with a minimum parole eligibility of 12 months from this date. This order was suspended and Linares was placed under the supervision of chief parole and probation officer of the State of Nevada for a term not to exceed five years, with terms and conditions. He was ordered to pay $178 in fines and fees by Oct. 10 and was given one day presentence confinement time credit.

Justice Court

• On June 25, James Vincent-Lang pled not guilty to the charge of battery that constitutes domestic violence (second offense), NRS 33.018, NRS 200.481 and NRS 200.485, a misdemeanor. He was found guilty and sentenced to six months in jail (straight time) credit for 83 days served, ordered to attend domestic counseling 1.5 hours a week for one year.

• On Oct. 23, David Joseph Prideaux pled guilty to count I on the following counts: I – driving a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol, NRS 484C.110; II – failure to use due care, NRS 484B.603; III – leaving the scene of an accident which resulted in damage to a vehicle, NRS 484E.020; IV – driving while driver’s license was canceled, NRS 483.560 and V – failure to wear a safety belt, NRS 484D.495, misdemeanors. He was found guilty to count I and was ordered to pay $640 in fines and fees; ordered to complete DUI class; sentenced to 90 days in jail; credit for one day; will serve one more day in jail; 88 days suspended under the condition he has no law violations for six months and follows court order. Counts II, III, IV and V dismissed.
