Roger Dale Lande age 62 residing in Hawthorne, Nev. passed away in Auburn, Wash. on June 11, 2017. He was surrounded by his wife of 27 years and two boys at the time of his death. He was born to Philip and Evie (Warehime) Lande, both deceased, on Sept. 26, 1954, in Great Falls, Mont. The family later moved to Auburn, Wash. where he lived until the early 1980’s and he moved to Hawthorne.
Hawthorne became his home for several years until he met and married the love of his life, Jeri Lynne (Perkins). They married in Reno, Nev. on Nov. 23, 1989, and moved to Reno and Hawthorne twice before making their home in the State of Washington in 1985 and for the next 15 years. In 2010 they moved back to Hawthorne where they would make their final place of residence. Roger was visiting his boys in Washington for the summer at the time of his death.
Roger worked most of his career as either a concrete finisher or truck driver but his final place of employment was at Wagner’s Ace Hardware. He loved to be around family and friends and was always the life of the party, making all of us laugh.
Roger is survived by his sister Donna (Lande) Martin and Jack,and two brothers: Ronald and (Lynne) Lande, Richard and (Robbyn) Lande; numerous nieces and nephews; his wife Jeri Lynne; a daughter, Alycia Duncan; two sons: Pat Duncan and Joshua Lande, as well as a very large and extended family known as the “Knowles Family” on Jeri Lynne’s side.
Roger’s final resting place will be in Belt, Mont. In honor of Roger and his remembrance, his family would like to invite you to his Celebration of Life to be held at the VFW in Hawthorne on Saturday, June 11, 2018, at 4 p.m.
