Class Of 1957 reunion set for AFD weekend

Could it be 60 years ago? Indeed. Brand new Chevy’s were $2000, gas was 25 cents per gallon and the show was 75 cents. Well things have changed and so have we, but the good news is that we are still friends.

Please plan on attending Armed Forces day this year in Hawthorne, Saturday, May 20. The class is planning to gather for cocktails at Judy Del Porto-Yocum’s house at the corner of Fifth and A Streest at 4 p.m. Friday. Bring old photos to share. Plans to ride a flatbed float in the parade on Saturday at noon. Potluck dinner at Yocum’s garden following the parade and Sunday breakfast at the elk’s Lodge starting at 7 a.m.

Photos will be taken Friday and Saturday and copies will be sent following the reunion. Those of the class of 1957 can contact Cheryl Welsh, 775-200-5995, bcwelsh@att.net or write to: 801 Pinchot Pass Ct., Sparks, NV 89436.
