In one last effort to raise funds and get toys for the children of Mineral County, the members of the American Cruisers Motorcycle Club held a toy run last Saturday.

After working with Dollar General and the Mineral County Sheriff’s Office the week prior where they stuffed a sheriff’s office cruiser with toys, members of the community once again came out to help with this effort.

Earnie Woods, president of the Hawthorne chapter stated, “We were able to fill eight boxes with toys, which had an estimate of $1,300 value and along with $300 in cash donations.”

Coming out to help the American Cruisers, the Mineral County Sportsmans Association also contributed to the toy drive by donating roughly $300 in toys.

The toys and donations are divided up between Toys for Tots and CAHS, both locally ran organizations that work together to make sure that children, in need, are able to have items under the tree on Christmas morning.
