The Hawthorne Army Depot will conduct a change of command ceremony in which Lt. Col. Gregory K. Gibbons will relinquish command to Lt. Col. Scott M. Bishop.  Col. James L. Brown, commander, Tooele Army Depot, Tooele, Utah, will preside.

Gibbons took command of HWAD in June 2014 and has been assigned, next, to the Commanding General’s Office, Army Materiel Command, Redstone Arsenal, Ala.

Bishop served as the Logistics Lieutenant Colonel Assignments Officer, Human Resources Command, at Fort Knox, Ky., prior to assuming command at HWAD.

Hawthorne Army Depot is part of the Joint Munitions Command which operates a nationwide network of conventional ammunition manufacturing plants and storage depots, and provides on-site ammunition experts to U.S. combat units wherever they are stationed or deployed.  JMC’s customers are U.S. forces of all military services, other U.S. government agencies, and allied nations.
