Nevada Backroads

Nevada Backroads member, Kyla, helps to paint the guzzler fence.

Members of Nevada Backroads (NBR) helped Nevada Division of Wildlife and Nevada Bighorn Unlimited to build the Monte Criso – Gabbs guzzler.

The NBR group make an effort to help in different areas around the state and chose to help with this guzzler. The 12 members of NBR began the build at approximately 7 a.m. and with the help of all involved, was able to finish it around 1 p.m.

The purpose of the guzzlers is to collect water and store natural precipitation. These catchments help to meter out moisture to all forms of wildlife throughout the year, not only in the hot summer months. NBR commits to helping out in the Nevada backroads where needed.
