He was born Feb. 12, 1941 in Riverside, Calif. to Homer and Ednah Miller. He lived in Riverside until going to work for the U.S. Government in Barstow, Calif.
Virgil married his bride of 51 years, Lynda, on June 13, 1964. They moved to Hawthorne in 1971.
He was very involved with his family and their activities. He loved fishing, camping, tinkering, lending a hand where needed and working with young people.
Virgil is predeceased by his parents and is survived by his wife Lynda, daughters Robin Holliday and Dawn (Troy) McIntosh; grandchildren Taryn and Tash Holliday, and Blake and Alyssa McIntosh; brothers David (Wanda) and Glenn; sister Virginia (Tim) Waters; numerous nieces; nephews; and many more “sons” and “daughters” brought into the family with love and hugs.
A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, Oct. 24 at 2 p.m. at Lions Park with a reception to follow at the Elks Lodge.
