2Landon Royle will excitedly open the door for you at his parent’s new establishment in Hawthorne, Main Street Yogurt.

Located in the heart of downtown, Main Street Yogurt is a quaint place to stop for a frozen treat. Offering the standard chocolate and vanilla or something more exotic like mango, the vibrantly painted walls allow patrons to feel like a child again.

Against one wall is a child’s delight. Candies, nuts, chocolates and so much more are hung on the wall for customers to add to their yogurt in order to customize their dessert. Don’t worry about spilling a few candies on the floor. Landon will be right there with a broom to clean it up. The four-year old is all smiles and eager to teach you how to get a yogurt.

The shop is owned by Landon’s parents, Brad and Amber. Amber is a familiar face to Hawthorne, having lived here in the past.

She moved away, but when the opportunity came forth for her husband, Brad, to pursue a career in law enforcement, the young family moved back.

As a mother of two small boys, Landon and Deakan (age seven months), Amber wanted to open a business that would benefit the community and she thought, “What better than yogurt? I wanted the kids to have something cool for them as well as the adults. I enjoy the family atmosphere.”

The business will be open Tuesday’s through Saturday from noon until 2 p.m. and again from 4 to 8 p.m. The grand opening for Main Street Yogurt will be held Saturday from noon until 8 p.m.
